How to end acute and chronic knee pain and stiffness without painkillers, injections or having to wear brace.
Why do I have knee pain? Why do I have swelling and stiffness, redness and warmth, weakness or instability, popping or crunching noises or inability to fully straighten the knee?
If you’re suffering of any of the above – it’s likely to think it’s just something that comes with age, or it’s a bit of wear and tear, or that it’s nothing and will end on its own. You may can’t find a reason why you’re feeling pain in your knees, but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
If this is the case, you’re not alone we always hear and see this type of thing every day. In fact, Knee Pain is one of the most common problems that we see in our Ultimate Care Physiotherapy and Massage Clinic.
Anyone living with knee pain wants to know the answer for these questions
Why this pain is happening to me, and what is the cause of this knee pain?
Most people think their knee pain will resolve on its own. Think they will wake up one morning and like magic, it will be gone. But after six months later they find no improvement and even the pain gets worse than before onset then they start to know that, they must do something for their knee pain.
Does this sound common?
We used to see people every day in our physiotherapy clinic that have gone to their doctor only to be given pain medication and told to rest. Six weeks later they are back for more pills and maybe an added knee brace as the problem has not been resolved. Medication and a knee brace will mask the symptoms but will not fix the root of problem.
Has this ever happened to you?
Maybe you think you must rest because you’ve been told walking makes knee pain worse, or that you should be doing ‘this exercise’ and ‘that exercise’ to make it better. You’re probably confused because you’ve had an overload of advice from different sources. It’s very confusing to know exactly what to do, and that’s just to avoid making your knee pain worse! Because of this many people just end up accepting their pain as part of their life and it becomes their normal as if it must be a fact.
